“Like many writers, the group of Year 10 and 11 students were experts at avoiding the final draft up until the last minute, but for every person the adrenalin surge that came with handing in the final pieces of work was thrilling. What I love about the students I work with is their heart and their laughter – we had lots of both as we swapped ideas and talked about what on earth we were doing and how we were doing it.”

Monday. My worst day of the week. It was the year 1998 when I started to get a phobia of this day because terrible things happen to me on this pathetic day. Ever since I was born I hated Monday because it would remind me of the terrible incident that happened to me. Even when I was a child I hated Monday because I had the worst teacher: she used to love picking on me in maths because I got a stupid question wrong.
