Quintin Kynaston School

“It’s been Year Two of the First Story Group at Quintin Kynaston: a brilliant new cast, but the same old story. Twelve students gathering weekly to laugh and eat biscuits, and to somehow find time between the two for writing.”

Peter Hobbs, Writer-in-Residence at Quintin Kynaston School

I sit here on the red chair, soft to the touch, yet overstuffed, comforting all the sore muscles that journey their way across my weak body, and wait patiently as the time softly trickles away through my fingers, faster than I can catch up. I wait for death to make its unexpected call, ringing my phone. My life does not flash before my eyes, I do not see the most valuable person for me in life; I simply recall my earliest memory. It is old and faded like an ancient photo, yellowing in the corners with creases all over, displaying its age proudly.
