Editorial Officer (2 posts)

£22,000 (pro-rata – full time over fixed 6-month contract)

We are looking for highly motivated, highly organised and enthusiastic Editorial Officers who are committed to First Story’s vision. These positions offer the opportunity to take leading roles in First Story’s publication schedule.

This includes managing a publication plan for over 70 anthologies, including engaging copy editors, designers, illustrators and typesetters to set deadlines and maintaining clear and accountable records of all anthologies, maintaining the student IP consent form database and chasing for outstanding forms, copy-editing and proofreading to deadlines, and helping to compile First Story resources such as the National Writing Day resource guide.

This is a great role for someone with an editorial background and with excellent organisational skills.

Please note for all proof reading, copy editing and design opportunities it would be great to know what sort of experience you have in editorial work.

Offer your services: for example publishing our anthologies, giving PR advice or hosting an event or meeting (throughout the year)
